What began as a shared dream has become a thriving local spot where guests can experience the vibrant taste of Mexico, traditionally found on the West Coast.

Our tacos—featuring savory al pastor, juicy carne asada, and rich birria—are hand-prepared with care and packed with flavor. We had a great experience at Thlaco Taco over the weekend. We've wanted to try them for a while and finally had the chance. This was for a late lunch - we arrived after 2 PM and there was one table in use when we arrived, so it was quiet. You go to the counter to order and to pick up your meal when it is ready. We both ordered three taco dinners. I had two Asadas and one Al Pastor, my partner had two Al Pastors and a Birria. We also shared a Pineapple-Mango Agua Fresca. Service was quick - and they make everything to order including fresh tortillas! First, the Agua Fresca was amazingly good. But the tacos - oh my they were outstanding. They were hot and very flavorful. The beans and rice were also tasty. The location is in a strip mall in Rolling Meadows. The restaurant is bright and airy with maybe 25 tables. The chairs are plastic and could be more comfortable, but they are still okay. Oh - I said in the beginning that there was only one table in use when we arrived. By the time we left not only were more tables full but there was a pretty good line at the order counter. We had a great time and excellent food - highly recommended.

We had an hour drive to get to this place. All I can say the food is worth the trip!! The quesabirrias, tacos Alpastor, asada, aguas frescas, michelada all was 10/10. We plan to go back soon!

Ive been a couple times now. Consistently good. Ive had the quesobirra, carne asada and and the al pastor each time. The juices are very good as well. Definitely a spot to check out.

Best asada taco meat around. Sliced thin the size of dimes and tender. Both the asada and el pastor were excellent. They had plenty of meat. Loved them. It is slightly expensive. The place is clean. They serve alcohol. I'll be back.
